I just stumbled across a video on YouTube:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tScm-eZInBE
Basically some UK guy doing a version of the 3 card Monte - really badly! The impression is that he is going to teach you how to do it. I don't know if he does or not because I thought that his sleight of hand technique was so bad that I stopped watching!!
Please - if you are going to learn to do some magic then at least find a knowledgeable source.
For instance if you want a really cool trick to show people in the pub and you want to use playing cards to do it then why not check out: http://www.unearthlymagic.com/product_detail_snowblind.html
At least this is credible magic that will fool and entertain - unlike our faceless amateur on YouTube.

Sorry Ed. There are FAR worse magicians on youtube. And the link to the piece that you recommended with the orion count looked like the usual overhyped blown-out magic video (okay, it wasn't that bad either). But come on, with all the bad magic out there on youtube, do you have to be that harsh on someone who's doing some decent experimentation?
Hello Anonymous. I agree that there are FAR worse "magicians" (or at least people trying to perform magic with no idea what they are doing) on YouTube. But that is no excuse really is it? As for the Snowblind DVD - is it an overhyped magic video? Well I used two routines from there in my professional act for the last two years so I know they work. But we are all entitled to our opinions! BTW - if you have something to say why wouldn't you put your name to it?
